This is the second wool fiddler's cap I've owned. The first lasted many years. I know I'll have many years of service from this cap, as well. It is very well made. My order arrived very fast and in perfect condition. Looking forward to purchasing a new fedora later this year!

it's a good hat .,the brim was a little too straight and facing down instead of out .,.it's taking me awhile to shape it proper but looking pretty decent .,.looks best when i wear it a little crooked or to one side .,happy with my purchase

I looked all over many different websites for a knitted "jeep cap" but most of them were acrylic. When I saw this had more style and was all wool and you could order it in your exact head size (7 7/8), I jumped on it. It came in a nicely packaged box and in perfect condition and fits perfect. It's very stylish and looks great with a wool coat or just a Levi jacket.

This is a very good looking hat. It's well made and exactly the size ordered, so don't go bigger or smaller than your actual size.

I have had various Greek Fisherman's hats over the years, but this one is one of the finest I have had. I love it.

An amazing hat. Keeps your head nice and toasty for hours. Just shoveled my driveway and this bad boy kept my head very comfortable, dry and warm.

The Villiage Hat Shop has become my go to source for hats for awhile now. They always have the right product and great service. I have 2 of the greek fishermans caps, but wanted to try one a little more plain. This cap is perfect. Seems to blend in with things a little better than the ones with the embelishments. I suggest ordering your correct size. If it's loose you can always add sizers, but not much to do if it's too tight.

The wool version is amazing quality for the prize. The only problem is the sizing. I've always been a big head 8, but their 8 is way too large. Use the American inches system and measure your head with a tape measure. I think I wound up being 7 1/2. Great cap and the hipsters haven't found it yet! Ringo Starr used to wear something like this.

The artificial leather sweatband in this cap makes it too uncomfortable to wear for more than a few minutes.A similar cap, I've worn for more than ten years has a fabric sweatband and is exceptionally comfortable.Also, the cardboard stiffener, stapled just inside the sweatband makes me doubt that this cap will hold up very well if it ever got wet.

I don't personally care for the scrambled eggs on the brim of a Greek Fisherman's cap but like the shape, so the Wool Fiddler's Cap is for me. And this hat is very well constructed. I enjoy the fact that the hat is lined with silk. It fits and feels great on the head. Keeps you warm in the cold and looks good. This is my third one. Wore out the first one and lost the second...

Although delivery took forever due to a stock issue, I am very pleased with this hat. Comfortable right out of the box and good quality.

Definitely my favorite hat. One star off for not warning customers in the product description that you should buy one size smaller than your actual size (e.g. if you're 60cm like me, you should get 59cm). It's slightly too big on me but I still love it.

It shipped quickly. The hat sizers that came with it were nice because the hat was a bit too large without them, but perfect with. Attached to the sweatband, they are also more comfortable in hot weather than the leather band, alone, which does not absorb perspiration very well, if at all.The styling is nice, too; I much prefer the simplicity of the design as compared to the ""scrambled eggs"" hat brim of the Greek fisherman's cap. This hat needs to be available in more colors, though; something lighter would be better for summer wear, for example.

Received the hat exactly when it was promised, well-packed and in good condition. Sizing is proper and an overall good fit.If it weren't for the fact that I ordered this cap at the height of summer, this review would be rather longer.

I goofed and ordered the cap too large and am now waiting for the reshipment of the corrected size.Having seen and inspected the first one, I can only say that this is a top quality cap. I'd like to add that Village Hat is a great group to buy from. They go out of their way to give you prompt response to all questions and problems...what a treat to do business with quality oriented people who treat their customers well. I had also purchased a summer hat that was on backorder and they were very attentive and on the ball when it came in and prompt in getting it shipped. As good as on-line buying gets!

Wool is for ""going out"" and cotton is for daily work in my shop and art studio. Ball cap styles are certainly out for me for good! Properly priced-for a hat that looks good, AND is SIZED CORRECTLY, with ""NO ADJUSTER!""A [verrrrry] deep brown is desired as well. ;-)Should I ever make it back down to Sacramento, I will certainly visit your shop!Yes, in meantime, expect orders from myself in the future... ;-)

I bought this cap for my 16 year old son No more baseball caps for him! This is a versatile hat. It's not terribly over the top, but it's definitely noticeable. The front part of the crown is quite high. I think it will look better after it's been worn in a bit.

I love this hat - I wear it all the time. I wear it a size smaller so it looks a bit different on me. It's very sturdy, and the design is less fanciful than the greek fisherman's cap, making it more ""all purpose,"" in my opinion. It's easily my favorite cap.But I'd be thrilled to get it in other colors, like the fisherman's cap. I'd snap up a brown one in an instant. In fact, I'd probably order one of each color, as well as one of each in the cotton cap, if they were available.

My husband is a man who does not believe he looks good in hats...he only wore baseball caps until I purchased this Wool Fiddler's Hat for him for Christmas...it looks great and he absolutely loves it!
