At the beginning of the world there was only a single woman and of course she could not bear a child. So, guided by the god, she married a dragon-dog and gave birth to a boy. But every time she gave birth to a baby and went out, the dog bit the baby to death. With each baby it was the same. When the last baby was born, the mother escaped to the deep forest carrying her son. When the boy grew up, the god told him why he had no brothers and sisters. Enraged, the son killed the dog with an arrow. Very sad, the mother hung a wisp of hair at the back of her head, below her hat as the tail of the dog. To this day, the Dais do not eat dog meat in deference to their legendary ancestors.
