Stratoliner Fur Felt Fedora Hat

Wasn't sure about ordering a hat online but took a chance and am very happy. Hat looks great fit perfect.

Wow, received my new Stratoliner hat as promised. I absolutely love it. I have several fedoras, but this one truly stands out. The color is unique and the binding around the brim really stands out and makes a statement "This is a class hat!". Seems true to size. Even my wife likes it and she wasn't sure I needed ANOTHER hat!! If you are considering a new hat, go for it!

I bought this hat in Caribou, and also have it in Silverbelly and love both. VHS had a great sale and free and very fast shipping.

I am happy the hat. This is my 5th Stetson. I decided to go up one size from 7-1/4 to 7-3/8 because awhile they had got smaller. Just used a little foam that came with the hat to get a perfect fit.

Good hat. Fits to size. Thinner felt than expected, but nice because its not heavy and it seems to keep its shape so far. Always wanted a hat that reminded me of my Grandfather, and at 55 I think I have finally put in enough time to justify/earn it.

I have purchased a number of hats from Village Hat Shop and love their prices, selection, and service. With a few Stetsons in my 'stable', I had yet to buy the Stratoliner I was eyeing for some time. When they had their anniversary sale, I couldn't say no. Love the hat, it's a good (just snug) fit and high quality.

I have the hat almost a year. The size was stated as 71/2. It was loose. My 1974 Stetson Open Road, a 7 1/2 fits right, and is my size. With a spacer, the Stratoliner fits better, but, the spacer distorts the head band. I measured my head with a tape, and the size chart gives two sizes. This has deterred me from future orders so far, because I had to send one hat back.

Just to add a note to the other 5 star ratings, I generally need a long oval shape. This hat is soft and very pliable. I'm sure it will conform to my head after only a couple of wearings. Caribou is a great color and I'm sure I'm going to enjoy this hat. Always speedy shipping and excellent customer service at Village Hat Shop.

I ordered my hat one size too large so I used their return service. Unfortunately the size I needed was out of stock. I still got my replacement in a timely manner. Good people, great hat, awesome service.

I've been looking for the perfect hat for quite some time now to add to my husbands collection. He wears a hat everyday, and is extremely picky about what he chooses to wear. He is a Stetson man, but it has to be just right. He also wears a 7 5/8" which isn't so easy to find. He absolutely loved his hat! I chose the Stetson Stratoliner. Great hat. Fits perfect. Stetson quality. I wasn't crazy about the airplane pin on the hatband but it comes right off. It's just not for me. I have had a lot of compliments on this hat. Sheds snow and rain well while keeping my head warm. It holds it shape yet soft enough to form to my head. Very happy with it.

This is a quality, USA made hat that is beautiful and comfortable. The felt has a very soft hand and feels already worn in without looking it. Mine is a bit larger than other hats of the same size--maybe 1/8 of an inch.

The hat arrived quickly and safely. It fits and I like it.

just got my Stratoliner, Like it a lot, too many $'s but that's OK! I was worried about a review I read that the plane pin an was not accurate portrayal of Howard Hughes Plane, but looks OK to me! Size is right on. Had it delivered to my Sister's, (she advised brim down) as my Top Hat, went missing when I had it delivered to my home address a few years ago. Learned a lesson there. This will be the crowning touch to my hat collection. Thanks for enclosing the feathers I requested. VHS is the best! Tom D. Martin, Renton Washington

This is the first Stetson Fedora I have purchased that was slightly undersized. It's a bit tight. All the other Stetson Fedoras I have purchased fit me perfectly (and all were ordered in the same size). Other than that, it's a great hat.

This is the finest hat I have purchased. Comfortable and beautifully made, all at a good price. While walking with it on in Carmel California I had multiple positive comments including one fellow who stopped to say ""I love your Stetson, I grew up with one of those.""

If you want a good looking hat this is the one to buy.I have two other stetson dress hats but this one is the best looking.

This hat is finner than I thought it would be. I have three other Stetsons but the Stratoliner has be come my favorite.

This is a great looking hat with classic styling and I'm very pleased with my purchase. I heeded the advice of the other reviewers and bought one a size smaller (7 1/2 rather than my normal 7 5/8) and the fit is perfect. A minor, minor point -- why does the pin look like a swept wing Boeing 707 instead of a Stratoliner?

This is a lovely hat. Very light, fine fur felt, beautiful color (Caribou), and nice detailing. I would only change one thing: I would ask Stetson to offer it with an open crown as the original. This would allow for individual crease and bash.

I've had my Stratoliner for about a year now, and I still love it! The felt is soft and supple, and still looks great (as it should for a hat of this price point). The hat has molded into a great fit. I've had several strangers compliment me on how great it looks. Mine is in the Caribou color, which I find goes with just about anything. Love the hat!

Minor quibbles first. The hat is good quality, but for a hat in this price range and made by a storied company like Stetson, the satin lining in the top of the hat should have clear plastic protecting the crown. Top brand hat makers do that. The bare satin lining in the crown will be stained and the logo half worn off after any significant wear. The airplane pin is cute and kinda neat. It contributes to the story behind the hat. However, I don't think the real Stratoliner had swept wings.All that said, this is really a great looking hat. While not inexpensive, it is still a pretty good value. If you want that look of the classic 40s/50s hatted gentleman with both formal and less formal versatility, you're not going to get any better than the Statoliner. I'm eagerly anticipating cooler weather. The Stratoliner will make you look and feel great. I highly recommend it.

I had a difficult time with the sizing of this hat. The first size, measured as they recommended, was way big. So I returned it for the next size smaller, still too big. So I called a service rep and explained my dilemma. She asked if I could wait a few minutes while she checked the warehouse for the next size smaller. While there she measured the hats and found an inaccuracy in the sizing, I.e. they were running large in comparison to the sizing chart. So she called back and said she would send me the next size, me to check it out, and she would send return shipping for the one I had plus not charge shipping for the one she was sending The hat she sent fit, although it was two sizes smaller than my size. It is a GREAT hat, quality through and through. The Village Hat Shop is ALSO quality in service and products. I highly recommend both hat and Shop. I will buy again from them.

This is the singular best hat I've ever worn. It is simply beautiful. It just blows me away. Truly amazing. I have bought this hat for all my friends who wear hats. The best hat I've gotten from Village Hat Shop and Stetson.

Identical to the Open Road w/a different shape. Difficult to find colors other than silverbelly which I like but need variety. A lighter grey than caribou would be nice.
