Chatham Fur Felt Fedora Hat

This is a very nice hat - Stetson quality, excellent fit. The caribou color - it seem to with the light, and with other clothes being worn - a really nice aspect.

I bought A Stetson for my husband for Xmas. I bought it from the US because I could not find the size 8 I needed in the U.K. The quality and fit of the hat is perfect absolutely lovely my husband loves it. I will be ordering a different colour in the future. It came very securely wrapped in tough box. Awesome

I finally made the choice to get a fur felt fedora instead of wool felt. The Stetson chatham was a great style for me, and it fit well. It was just a little big, but with some padding inside the brim I solved that problem. The brim can be snapped up or down. I like down better. Keep in mind that the hat can change shape slightly if exposed to rain. There may be a "water-resistant spray" that could mitigate this. I've heard of such things. But overall I really like this hat!

I’m hard on hats, I mean really hard (including losing them). So I end up purchasing a new Stetson Fedora annually as sort of a Christmas present for myself.

Brown hat should have brown hat band.

I purchased my first "real hat" a Stetson Chatham Fur Felt Fedora, after having owned a few cheaper crushable hats... This is a beautiful hat, perfect fit, and the crisp snap brim is sharp. The down side is that out of the box, the black hat band was not completely sewn to the hat, allowing the feather to fall out any time the hat is turned over. I love the hat, but at that price point QC could be better. My wife will have to add a few stiches to the band...

I just received my first Stetson hat! I have a few cheap fedoras, crushable wool, and a Panama, but I wanted to step it up a notch for the holidays. Wear 7 1/8 and love the 40's styles that remind me of the Rat Pack and old movies. This hat is soft felt, but keeps it's shape and fits my oval shaped head perfectly. I LOVE this hat! If you're looking for a high quality, classic fedora with snap-down brim, this is it. Perfect.

This was a great surprise gift from my father. I have a Panama for the summer months, but I did not have a winter hat to wear to work. The felt is luxurious and the Caribou color (medium-dark gray) pairs nicely with any blue or gray suit. As it is yet summer, I have not had the chance to put it through its daily paces, but I would be quite surprised if it does not wear well. The thing is beautiful.

Received in good time and in super packaging. Chose the 'Caribou' aka gray colour. Superb quality throughout. Symmetry is impeccable. Was a bit taken aback by the raised brim all around but a quick flip at the front and it stays down giving it, IMO, the classic look. I was a 7 3/8 in the navy for 20 years and the Chatham 7 3/8 is perfect. Stetson provides some easy care instructions which can help novices care for their investment. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

I have lots of fedoras and favor a teardrop crown with two-inch brim. The Chatham is in the front rank of my collection - it has a strong snap brim, firm but comfortable crown, luxurious, soft wool, beautiful satin lining and sweatband. For my money, the Chatham and the Frederick are the best Stetsons for the money.

I received this hat yesterday, sizing color and general hat material all are good.

It may be nitpicking but I'm not so happy with the attachment of the band to the crown. Seems a light nylon thread - monofilament is used to tack the band to the crown.

That said, I think for a hat costing north of $150, the little tails should be trimmed close in the final inspection of the hat. I can do this myself but think it should be done during manufacture.

What a great hat . The fit is correct and it is beautiful, but I can't actually wear it until my birthday. That's my girlfriend's story and she's sticking to it.

The staff were helpful and efficient- the young lady on the phone found me a better discount than my check out code. The free shipping is slow, Smartpost, so if you're going to need it quickly spring for next day or something. The hat itself is a great fit, I would say true to size, very classy, the color a little darker than the pictures made it seem. The are a very rich looking dove grey, better than I had hoped. A bit of an overindulgence on my part but the last hat I bought from this company I am still wearing after 15 years. You get what you pay for.

I searched many hat shops and could'nt find that perfect hat that would look just right until I found it at the village hat shop. Living in eastern Canada , I received my order within a week and quite satisfied, thank you village hat shop.

This is the second fedora I've bought for my husband. He loves it. Also gets many compliments on this very good looking hat.

Firstly, very good service from VHS: Intuitive online process, timely communications and delivered as and when promised. Don't hesitate.
Secondly, regarding the Chatham, it is as expected - exquisite. Shape and texture very high quality, classic black fedora with a slight rake to the crown. Came with a very nice, understated, but proportionate feather tucked behind a bow-tie style bow on the right hand side of the hat band. Mine had a Stetson hat pin on the bow, but easily slid off by moving it to the side. (I'd been told that the Stetson tag, should there be one instead of a pin, can also be removed by carefully clipping the stitches). Or you can leave the logo on, very tastefully done. Sizing, if anything, runs slightly large, but not by much. My Chatham is a 7 5/8 and is just a tad larger than my other hats of the same size - or it could be I'd just got a haircut. Either way, I'm keeping it as it fits very comfortably. Silk lining and leather sweat band completes the details for this outstanding hat.

I've been looking for the perfect fedora for a very long time, and I finally found it- "Chatham Fur Felt Fedora Hat by Stetson"! These hats are very expensive but worth every dollar. It's the exact same kind of hat as the Golden Age of Hollywood movie stars wore in the famous films. I wear mine for dressing up and dancing like Michael Jackson. The high quality materials and production are the best. It just looks so cool and fits so right. I'm happy simply wearing it. Thank you, Stetson! I recommend this brand to everyone.

This hat came in two days for the regular shipping cost. It has a very sturdy box that can be used for years.

The hat as far better than expected. Had a bit softer feel than Stetson Cowboy hats. The materials were spectacular. Almost too classy to wear. Would be great for a nightout.

Fine craftsmanship in this Stetson fedora is evident. It fits as I expect a 7 5/8 to fit. I had a minor issue with my order. It was resolved within minutes after I notified VHS via email. I plan to purchase from here again.

I ordered this hat when it was still available in the Olive color and love it. There is distinct difference in the quality of the Stetson Sovereign line when compared to the Royal. This is the nicest hat that I own and I own several including Bailey and Borsolino. The fit of the 7 5/8 was perfect and the look is pure ""old school""......it makes me feel like a gentleman when I wear it. VHS was great to deal with and ordering was easy.

I wanted a casual hat that was not a cliche fedora or hipster trilby. The Chatham has a higher crown at the front that gives it a unique look. The size fits a tad larger than the labelled size (7-3/8""). I wear the grey Chatham with jeans and a t-shirt on weekends.

I have bought many hats from this fine establishment but this hat is my first Stetson, which is to say it cost more than any other hat I have bought, but this hat is perfect, in style, size, the quality of the material even right down to the feather. I would recommend this fedora to anyone who appreciates a better than average hat.

I have owned a few fedoras over the years, wore them on occasion, but was never really to enthusiastic about them. I guess they never really fit the image I had in my mind, like the ones you see in the movies. But this hat...I love it! I feel a little odd if I wear it with anything but slacks and a jacket, but still it is a wonderful dressy hat. Wonderful purchase. Great color that goes with blacks, blues or browns.
