Retro Panama Straw Fedora Hat

This hat is gorgeous! Beautiful styling, lightweight and my husband says it's comfortable. He gets tons of compliments on it every time he wears it. His other Stetson hats are also XL but this one is a tiny bit big but it doesn't really affect the fit. Highly recommend.

The Stetson Retro Panama is of exceptional quality. The weave is very tight, the pinch front crown fits well, and the brim is smoothly stiff responsive to bespoke shaping. The hat is a great alternative to a pricier Montecristi. The 2-1/2" brim should provide ample shade for birdie looks.

This hat arrived this afternoon and I wore it out this evening for dinner. While walking to my Jeep to head home, a fellow pulling out in his pick up opened his window and said, "I like that hat bro." A cool hat in many ways. I'm really digging it already. XL is a perfect fit with a tiny bit of breathing room for my large noggin.

I bought this Stetson Panama, at least 8 years ago from the Pacific Beach store. Soon as I put it on I knew it was mine. It has worn very nicely and shows its signs of maturity in a delightful way. I have several hats, all of them good quality. This one has stood the test of time.

This was a Father's Day gift for my husband to upgrade a hat he'd had before. The quality was great and he loved it. Be aware: you may think it's too small, if you've measured correctly it's NOT too small. The hat needs time to adapt to your head. It took about a day and now it fits perfectly on him.

This hat is an excellent product in terms of material, workmanship and design. I like it very much. I am looking forward to wearing it this summer.

I enjoy this lightweight panama fedora a lot. I get many compliments and I like the classic style. The black ribbon is fairly small and not flashy but fits the shorter crown of the hat. I like the finished edge of the brim and the fabric sweatband works better than leather when you do sweat some as it absorbs somewhat. The hat is very soft and lightweight, although not “crushable”. I would/will buy this hat again!

I was aware of this particular Stetson style due to a friend owning one. But, it took searching the "net" to find it, as the local shops only carried Stetson cowboy offerings (this is Texas, after all!). It's beautifully made, and though a bit too large, I'll nevertheless give it five out of five stars.

This is really a nice hat. Usually an XL is too small, but this one was too large. Village sent me a hat sizer and it fits just right.
My "but" has to do more with me than the hat. I was hoping for it to be one like my father owned years ago. It was soft; this one is firmly blocked. I'd also prefer the brim to be about 1/2 inch broader. But otherwise, it's a fine hat for the price. I get lots of compliments.

Thanks to my Pinterest "Job" I had to have this hat. After lots of online research I discovered VHShop and I am thrilled with this hat and highly recommend the site & hat. Service was great & quick. Selection was outstanding. Most important I could order hats in my size. One size fits all only if you have a small head.

I love this hat. I live in Florida all year and this hat makes a huge difference keeping my bald head cool and protected from the sun. The brim is nice and wide to yield real shade, not like those stupid kid's fedoras in most stores.
The style looks great with a business or 3-piece suit/Sunday dress. Pairing it with a Polo or Hawaiian shirt looks a little too "old man" for my personal taste but heck, this is Florida.
Construction seems solid, though time will tell how it holds up.
Fit is accurate to measurement, but be careful how you measure is all I can say. It fits just right if I have it snugged down low in front (exactly the part of my head I measured) but at any other angle it's loose enough to be blown off by a slight gust of wind. I've since ordered a pack of sizers so hopefully that will resolve my issue. Worst case I'll buy another hat (one size down) and gift this one to somebody awesome enough to deserve it. For 60-some dollars it's still cheaper than a trip to the doctor for skin cancer in the scalp, eh?

Exactly the summer straw I was looking for. My size 23.5 is at the bottom of XL and the hat was pretty large. Even got a return authorization, but Cust Svc sent band liners that made it acceptable. The brim also needed shaping to bring the front down. Would be helpful if shaping tips were included. Overall a satisfied customer. Will definitely shop again.

The hat is everything that was promised, a high quality, very elegant hat. Together with my Clubmaster sunglasses, I felt I was looking like Hemingway, but my jazz singer daughter says I look like like Sinatra! Unfortunately, I don't have quite his voice...nor the writing skills of Hemingway. But feeling good in the sun!
