This product protects your hat investment by maintaining the hat's size and preventing shrinkage. The Hat Jack also absorbs moisture and helps to preserve the sweatband of your hat. It is great for all caps and hats. Never wear a pinching hat again. Approx. 6 7/8" Length, Unstretched Made of: 100% Genuine Baltic Pine Wood (Excluding Center Arm) Manufacturer Instructions for Use: To Store Hat: * Lay the Wooden Hat Jack Stretcher on flat surface, labels up (wood forms are tapered). * Twist center handle to approximate hat size. * Place in hat, labels up, center handle parallel to crease in hat crown. * Twist center handle to achieve a snug fit - hat is ready for storage. ***Always rest hat on its crown, brim up.*** To Increase Hat Size: * Repeat above steps. * Boil clean water using a teapot or pan with lid slightly ajar, then reduce heat to produce a steady flow of steam. * Holding Wooden Hat Jack Stretcher handle, direct steam evenly to outside of hat band area. * Twist handle to stretch hat to desired size while applying steam. ***Do NOT overstretch any hat - 2 hat sizes maximum (2 CM maximum): Example: 7 (56 cm) to 7 1/4 (58 cm)*** * Allow hat to cool and dry 20-30 minutes before removing Hat Jack. * Repeat if hat shrinks until hat maintains desired size and fit.
