I bought this after watching a YouTube video about all the different types of straw hats. I really like the look of the seagrass woven straw, and the vent holes. It is very light and breathable, and the leather chin strap is a nice touch too!
I bought this as an all around beater for yard work, boating, etc. and it's a quality hat that does the job. You sacrifice a little sun protection for the excellent air flow. Has an layer of fabric at the top of the crown to protect your head from sun. Runs big as the description says. I leave off a star because of the large fit. I have 5 size reducers in to get my medium to 7 1/8".
Very nice hat for the summer. L/XL sizing is accurate - in the morning when it is cool, the hat is a bit loose; by mid-day, my head has expanded and the hat fits perfectly! The chin strap is nice to have when there is wind, a bit of an inconvenience when not needed.
