This hat is the equivalent of the one I bought 30 years ago and finally decided it was worn out. Made in Canada, and of the highest quality in the finest Tilley tradition.

It took me a few wears to figure out all my preferences

It took me a few wears to figure out all my preferences, but I put a 60' bootlace in place with a slide so I can adjust against the wind, and decided which way was the front, and I'm in business. It was a little warm at first, but now the weather is cooling off, so I think I'll be fine. In the summer I will wear a wet bandana under to keep me cool, as I've done for years. Thanks. I'm meeting other Tillie owners now. It's an interesting conversation starter.

Overall it's a pretty good hat

The order/sale process was great as usual. Size is true to fit new. I have a pre-2015 Tilley T3 and bought this lighter color to stay cooler. It did not come with the owner manual in plastic bag and evidently they have deleted the velcro straps in the crown to hold the wind cord. The material is different and it is not quite as robust as my older T3. As a result the brim is wavier in a couple of areas. I bought this hat for a fishing/beach vacation. It served it's purpose well. It got wet a few times and did shrink a bit. It came back to size after putting it on a hat block for a day. Overall it's a pretty good hat and I'm glad I got it to preserve my original T3 for cooler and less demanding days. Thanks again Village Hat Shop.
