I absolutely loved this hat in beaded it around the brim !! For my brothers birthday an I am sure that he will love it just as much as I do!!!
I haven’t actually worn this outside in the elements, so I can’t really extol its merits here. I have been enjoying Jaxon’s oilcloth safari hat daily, so I can only assume this is also a well-built hat. Here is my personal experience with the sizes, though…
I usually wear an XL/61cm hat, so I took VHS’s advice and ordered a large. It was definitely not-coming-off-in-a-high-wind snug, so I gave it to my son (who loves it) and bought an XL. It was just a tiiiny bit loose, so I put a couple strips of old t-shirt behind the band. Take from that what you will, but overall I am very satisfied with my experiences with VHS.
This s nice hat for the price and it was true to size, I wear a 7and 7/8 hat and it very hard to find hat that fit. This one did not disappoint. A nice bonus is that packing material they use was very sturdy and can be used for long term storage .
