Loved this hat! The quality and workmanship were amazing! Admittedly, I was being a bit of a movie-dork because my wife and I were going to Egypt, Turkey and Greece and I wanted to have shade AND look cool (not that I ever could), I allowed the pyramid winds (and those at the Acropolis) to blow my hat off several times — and even filmed it blowing through the sands and ruins. Now it’s dusty with the dirt of the ages and it’s gonna stay that way! Great quality hat!!!

The hat arrived in a nice box but was not packed very well. There was a foam ring to protect the hat from being scuffed, but it was lose and not seated property. It was tangled in the hole for the crown. Also upon inspection, I noticed that the Stetson pin was missing from the ribbon ban. I was going to let Village know and ask for refund and return because it was the last one in my size. I noticed a rattling in the bottom the box, so took the inside apart and found the missing pin for the ban. I wish that the packing people would look the hats over for problems before shipping. This is the second time that I have had a problem with a hat that was shipped that had defects. On the positive side; I have purchased several hats from the Village with no problems. Customer service is very good.

This Stetson Temple Fedora is the nicest(besides my beaver felt top hat) hat I own. The construction is sturdy and keeps its shape while not being overly stiff like Homburgs or top hats. This model being modeled after those hats made in the 30s-40s makes it more appealing to me but even without a suit this hat can be worn nicely. If you are getting a new fedora i would highly recommend this hat.
