My friend wanted a genuine Stetson that would 'blend in' with his location. Waimea is the hawaiian name for a little dusty part of the island that specializes in a fine, volcanic reddish rock that gets pulverized into a red dust when trampled. This hat fit the bill! Thank you.

The hat is beautiful, but I wish it would have been in a Stetson box.

It was just what I was looking for. I had bought a similar hat from Village Hat Shop years ago. It was getting worn, faded and stained. Recently I found the receipt for my old hat, I was so glad that I found "my hat". It is hard to find a hat with a wire adjustable brim. Thankyou so much! Being afraid I might order the incorrect size I had also ordered the hat sizer pack and good thing too as I needed just that little extra to be a perfect fit.

Just what I wanted. It’s perfect. It’s a truly beautiful hat because, well, it’s not very beautiful. The ‘Rawhide’ is warm, comfortable, and a little rough around the edges. Looks like it’ll acquire some great character over time. Love it.

And then I put it on and it is a part of me, it fits so well I forget to raise my hat from time to time. You can call me wanna be if you must I love this hat.

Received this Buffalo Series Stetson on 3/20/18 and I am pleased to say that this Western Hat ticked all the boxes. The hat does exactly as the description states (ie wired brim for shaping)
and is hardwearing.
So, I would recommend this for the price (it is XXX Stetson rated)

Have bought many hats from Village Hat Shop, almost all Stetsons. This Stetson is a great hat! Sizing was correct. The buffalo wool felt is soft and smooth to the touch. Hat keeps it's shape very well, unlike crush-able hats. Description of hat accurate. Service & delivery time excellent, as always. Longtime customer of Village Hat Shop.

Nicely made, I like the look of the buffalo felt/wool, a little bit rough but still refined. The buffalo "coin" on the band looks great and stands out just a bit. I get questions about it and since I like to talk about my Stetson that's good. Great company to buy from, this is my third had from them and I have been happy each time with delivery.

This is a very nice, well made hat that represents a good value. Nice felt and lining with attention to detail. The fit is as expected per the sizing chart. Nice band and the buffalo nickel rounds out the package. I wear my hat casually and not for work. It does keep my head warm in moderately cool temps (40+ degrees). I received my new Stetson hat last week, I came home and the box was left by my front door. The box looked like they had something heavy on top of it and the box was flattened. I opened the box and the hat was also not in great shape. I have so far worked with the hat and it is about 80% now and I am still working on to getting the shape back.

I've had the hat a couple weeks now and I'm enjoying it. It is well made and has the Stetson quality.
*I'm liking the silk lining inside, what I grew up with in my western hats.
*I like the actual size of the hat instead of the sm, med & large. You get a better fitting hat. This hat fits true to size.
*This hat is a wool felt hat and looks it. Buffalo fur is wool and does not look like felt but wool.
*The hat is a darker brown than the pictures show.
*The hat band is just a cheap two tone fabric. It is dark brown and white, definitely not what is shown.
*I'm giving it a 4 star rating do to the misleading of being felt instead of wool. Although it states fur felt it should be explained as wool. The color being dark brown instead of the lighter brown as shown and the hat band.
**This is nothing against Village Hat Shop, they are a 5 star company.
*All said I'd buy again.

This is by far the best hat that ive ever owned. It is a buffalo felt hat and it is extremely comfortable, after ordering a hat stretcher to make a longer oval shape to fit my head. I wear it when im fishing, doing yard work, and wherever else I can wear it I absolutely love this hat. My nickname is cowboy dave and with this hat I can live make it known. If you are going to buy a cowboy hat only buy Stetson USA made. God bless America.

For years I have worn a Stetson hat called "Mello Felt", but it was getting dirty and heavily stained. You see, I have a small horse ranch (a small 47 acres, not a ranch for small horses), and I wore this as a work hat in addition to wearing it when I went to town. The stains gave it "character", however, after years of wear it has too much character. Tried to clean it, but the stains just stood out worse. Finally, after finding out that the "Mello Felt" hat had been discontinued, I found it's almost identical twin at this hat shop! Thank you guys, as Swartzeneggar said,"I'll be back!"

As expected, excellent Stetson quality as usual. A very well made fully lined felt hat. I've worn it out in the snow and it keeps my head dry and warm. The size is slightly smaller then I expected. I ordered the same size as a Stetson snap brim fedora and it fits slightly more snug but still fits OK. It's a great hat that I can easily recommend!

This is my second Stetson western hat. I love this hat as much as my straw one, which I've had forever. Both are made in the USA, fit perfectly, look very stylish, are comfortable for riding my horse, and are extremely well-made. I expect this hat to last a long time and I love the way it looks. I also like the wire-rimmed brim because shaping the hat is so easy. I use a hat brush to keep my hats clean and I'm sure this has helped them last so long. You can't go wrong with a Stetson!! Delivery from Village Hat Shop was only 2 days, much faster than I expected, so that was another bonus.

This is my first Stetson. I have a 40X dress cowboy hat for Sunday Go To Meeting but needing one I could wear for Cowboy Action Shooting. This one fits the bill perfectly. It was a little tight at first. But, I keep a hat jack in it and now it fits as it should. Its a great hat that I can wear all day! The shipping was lightning fast and included in the price. I own several Stetson Western Hats and this one is my Favorite Get Up and Go Hat! The picture does'nt do it justice. This Raw Hide Hat fit me to a Tee! I wear a size X-Large 7/58 and it was true to size. No Regrets Here!

My 13 year old son bought this hat in Sacramento. The staff were great, and he loves the hat, which is superbly made. Whilst wearing a Stetson in England is, shall we say, slightly eccentric, the English are known for this, so that's OK.

My Stetson rawhide is my favorite hat. I have other Stetson's that I like very much, but the Rawhide is diffently the most comfortable, the most attractive, and wearable hat that I have ever owned. Five stars is not enough.

Overall, agree with reviews, very comfortable, not a stiff and rigid as traditional fur felt cowboy hats which are cool in a different way, more formal this hat is softer, more pliable, and casual. You can just throw it in the back seat or trunk of a car , and , no problem, still looks good...

I'm very attached to my new Rawhide. It's comfortable, and it looks VERY sharp. Comparatively good price and quick, easy ordering and shipping made me even more pleased. I think the wire in the brim could be a little stiffer; if you expect your hat to take an occasional roughing and don't want to spend an hour putting it back the way it was, maybe look somewhere else. My only other gripe is that everyone else likes mine so much they keep borrowing it!
