When I saw that the Felt Fedora came in a size small I was all in on buying it, but it’s actually between a small and a medium.
Very Disappointed.
I used a vinyl door weather stripping inside the whole hat then used an adjustable hat band to add a little more snug to fit.

Arrived in great condition, I followed the recommendations and ordered the medium size because it was supposed to run big in size. It looks great but I wish it was a little larger. I am older man and have long since wanted a hat like my fedora. Very similar to the one my day wore all his adult life. I did think it was a bit deeper however does fit nicely. Good color and material. I recommend Villagehatshop highly and will most likely purchase another hat of different style.

I like it. I bought 2, in the gray and pecan (I have the Ford Fedora in brown and black already). As other's have said, the front brim wants to snap up if you have the back snapped up, but if you're careful, it will stay in place in the down position. Size can vary. I bought both in XL. Gray fits perfect, but pecan is a bit loose, but good enough to keep. Feather is easily removable if you don't care for it. Very happy, good hats. I wish it came in a tan or beige.
**Update: After my review, Village Hat Shop sent me, without my requesting it or charging me, a set of hat sizers that really helped with the fit of the hat. It was a very nice and unexpected gesture on their part. They are an excellent and customer friendly shop to deal with. Highly recommended!**

Upon receiving the hat I was very impressed with the quality. After examining the hat one side had a rather large place where the brim was bent and after wearing for approximately an hour the feather fell out and I was never able to locate it.

This is an excellent alternative if you're counting every penny right now. All the colors look great and 48 or 40 dollars. This is a great deal. I bought the xxl and it does run larger for my 7 3/4 hat size. So yo may want an xl. But I wear a handkerchief to mop up my sweaty head. So the hat fits good with the handkerchief band.

Bought two large size, C crown crushable hats from VHS before and this one runs quite a bit larger in the same large size. Had to put foam tape under the sweat band all the way around. Its darker than the "pecan" they used to sell. Pretty much brown. I already have a brown. I do like the larger brim on this hat compared to the others that I bought. Warning, if you're going to order a large size......don't. Order the medium.

The hat is a nice looking hat, but I need to gently shape the front brow downward slightly to get the rake I want. Definitely a smart looking hat, and made well.
The sizing description was spot on. Which is important when you are not able to try the hats on in the store. And as expected from the description, I just need to add a little "filler" behind the sweatband for the perfect fit, which is close to begin with.

My head is 24" so I purchased the XL. It said the hat would fit 23-1/2" to 23-7/8". I was afraid it would be too tight but it's actually a little too large. I can put a thumb up inside on each side. I'm making something to tighten the fit. But, I LOVE the hat! It's luscious feeling and beautifully made. My husband loves hats and thinks this is a great one.

Though dressier than my flat caps, it does offer a bit more sun protection. The navy blue color is a very close match for DCS Foyle's handsome Trilby in "Foyle's War".

This is my second Jaxon crushable fedora and I like it even better than the first--and I loved that one. When you turn down the front brim it doesn't dimple and makes for a nice classic look. My other hat needs to be smoothed out a bit. The crown is classically stylish. Wear this with a trench coat and you'll have a real Humphrey Bogart thing going.

I wanted to love this hat, but unfortunately it didn't fit my head correctly. The medium was still way too big, even with sizers. I suppose hats are just one of those things one must try on in person. I ordered the grey hat which had a unfortunate greenish tinge to it. I had to return it.

Love this hat and classic style. It was the perfect finish for my Jazz Band outfit. I was looking for the Frank Sinatra look, and this hat filled the bill. As a sidenote, my head measured 23-3/4" so I ordered XL per chart. Hat was way too loose so I had to cut up a t-shirt strip and roll it into brim. Not a huge deal, but be aware that XL is cut big.

I'd looked at more expensive lined hats and considered them, but living in the southeast with warmer weather most of the year, plus the fact that I have other hats had me thinking that this was the perfect value price for something that would occasionally be worn. I picked up one of these fedoras in Black about two years ago and I love it. If it can stand up to Seattle's rainy weather then it can hold up anywhere. I even like it in the summer to shade my eyes and shoulders. The price is great and now I'm back looking for the same hat in different colors.

Great hat! I had a jaxon hat before and indeed it is a wonderful hat for the price and planned use. My previous hat was a medium and is a good fit. This one is a mediun size and is quite a large as far as I can tell. It required the use of both of the sizers! I had with care measured my size and I am sure that this new one is a size larger! Just beware of that fact.

My husband has difficulty finding hats that fit his head. I stumbled upon this shop through Google. The website is easy to use, got a great deal with free shipping. The sizing is fairly close, maybe a little generous as the hat fit just slightly larger than we thought but it will stay on his head. I'm afraid a size smaller will be to small and we haven't tried a sizer(probably won't need to). The fedora was of excellent quality and well made. I'd order again.

I own other Jaxon hats. I have always worn XXL. When I ordered this one, the website indicated that sizing is "True to size" so I ordered XXL. When it arrived, the box was CRUSHED, but the hat reshaped fine. But it was HUGE. I exchanged for an XL which fits and looks great. Unfortunately, I had to pay for the return shipping of the XXL. I don't think I should have had to pay for the return because I assumed the website was accurate when it said "True to size."

My other fedora is a Stetson. The makers of the iconic multi-gallon Western-style hat make a nice one. Costs more, and the materials are lovely -- it's an excellent hat -- but I wear a Jaxon fedora more often. Good color, durable, less costly to replace, good lines. If you're considering a hat, this is a good choice. I don't recommend you always wear a fedora, but when you do, this one's for you.

I'm really pleased with this hat. I often have trouble finding hats that fit my oversized melon-head, but the 2x here actually is a little loose! My wife loved it right away; it was a bit wider and softer in the brim than I was expecting, but after a couple days it really grew on me, and it's now my favorite hat. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to give you a glowing review! You guys ROCK ! On a personal note, I had just undergone brain surgery to remove a tumor the size of a tennis ball. (seriously). The surgery left a 14" scar on the left side of my pumpkin from the 31 staples used to put me back together. I needed a Fedora to be able to go out and YOURS was the best one I found. The delivery to Canada was first rate and incredibly fast. I had my new Fedora ready for my first outing to the hospital to start my Radiation/Chemo treatments to fight this little "cancer" thing. This is the worst hat I've received from Village Hat. I've ordered this same hat before. This time the size is extremely large. I've used two sizers & it now is marginally wearable. This fedora is your standard fedora - broad brim (but not too broad), high-ish crown (but not too high), side feather, and overall good fit. Pros: Comfortable Good looking Crushable (can be packed in a suitcase and reshaped easily) Cons: Runs slightly large in the Large Feather could be more securely affixed to the hat ribbon. Overall: If you're looking for the kind of fedora they wore in the 40s (as I was), this is for you. If you're looking for a hipster fedora they wear these days, keep looking. This is a respectable yet fun hat for the gentleman with some flair.

This is likely the best "crushable" hat I've happened across. It looks great and the price is more than reasonable. Pay heed to Village Hat Shop's sizing information, though! This is surprising to me, given its low price — but the Jaxon C-crown is no doubt the best fedora I’ve ever owned. And that’s in comparison with products from Cavanaugh, Stetson and Worth & Worth that are genuine fur felt instead of wool felt, and that cost at least twice as much as this one. There are so many things that Jaxon got right with this hat. The proportions are about as perfect as you can find; the 2-3/8-inch brim is classic. The 1-1/2-inch grosgrain hatband is right, too, unlike some other fedoras where it’s too narrow. About that brim: it has a welted edge. I’ve found that for a hat to look good the brim must have either a bound or a welted edge. A raw-edge brim not only looks unfinished but it soon develops a wavy shape that can never be permanently straightened out and ends up looking like a thing worn by a cast member from /The Grapes of Wrath/. In contrast, this hat looks sharp. I prefer the brim turned up all around but that’s a matter of choice. Village Hat Shop and Jaxon call this fedora crushable. That’s not a test I intend to try, but an advantage in its construction is that it’s soft. This softness means that it looks like the men’s hats you see worn in many 1940s films; the crown is not stiffly blocked in the way that that too many modern fedoras are. Some things are sacrificed for the crushability and the moderate price. The hat is unlined and I missed the traditional white satin lining. But that was easily remedied for me by pulling the lining out from an old hat and stuffing it into this one, tucked under the sweatband (no sewing necessary). That’s a minor matter in any case. The fit is a little larger than average but again that’s handled easily, by reading the sizing recommendations and if necessary by ordering the felt strips available. It needs to be said here also that the Village Hat Shop staff deliver superb customer service. You’ll receive your order in a day or two, and if you have any questions, they’re both knowledgeable and helpful. That’s another reason I keep coming back to this site. If you want a good-looking fedora you won’t find yourself disappointed by the Jaxon C-crown, in gray. I like it so much that I bought four of them.

I purchased this hat for use during the winter months. It is exactly the style (C Crown) I was looking for and not available through most manufacturers. The Jaxon C Crown fedora is a well made hat, for the price, and Village Hats offered free shipping which made for a good buy. Although I normally ware a large, I followed the sizing suggestion and ordered a medium. The hat was still a little too big but I was able to adjust the fit to my needs. Overall I am pleased with the purchase and look forward to many years of use.

Looking for hats to take on European Vacation. Bought three different colors. All fit well when I bought the medium. I wear a 7 1/4 Long Oval. Just as Village hat said they measure large. This is not a top tier hat, but it is a practical way for the inexperienced man to get used to wearing a fedora without spending a fortune. They take a beating, and are one of the few hats to come in a size for those of us with giant heads — 7 7/8 in my case, which corresponds to a Jaxson XXL. The pecan color isn't that common either.

For Christmas, I gifted this fedora in gray to my 43-year-old boyfriend who loves Nero Wolfe. He loved it!! It was packed impeccably. The hat is very very nice for the money I spent for it. Very stylish and of good quality. I had also bought for my teenage hat-loving son a blue Trilby from Village Hat Shop, but he liked this wider-brim fedora better. So he has one now too instead. The fedora's are very nice. Bought my first one got it in and got so many complements on the hat. That I have come back and bought one of each color. Cant bet the price. Crushable is no joke I sat my bag down on the seat and my hat on top of the bag a car stopped short in front of me everything flew off the seat and landed on top of my hat crushing it but with a little push here and a tug there the hat looks just as it did. I have worn it out in the rain and with a little brush of a towel all the water drops were gone and there were no rain drop stains. My dad saw the hat and now I am getting him one for Christmas.

It's a shiny lid, that's for sure. I own this in pecan and a grey pinch crown. While both are great hats, I will say that the brim measurements aren't what they say on the site. The hat itself is very light and it feels quite thin. I wear it as an everyday hat and it does great doing just that. The brims on both this and the pinch crown measure to 2 1/4 in.

First off, this a great hat for the money, with a great build quality. It is extremely light and authentically packable! (if you assuming its stiff, it's not at all its pretty floppy). Theres nothing wrong with this hat and i like it a lot but I didn't really realize in the picture that it looks the way it does, i thought it would look like a cheap grey hat i have, but in a different materiel and band.I did some research and this hat I previously had was a stingy brimmed trilby, which has a smaller brim then this, and the larger upturn in the back. This hat is a classic style, but is not like the modern ""fedoras""(trilbys) that are common., and also available on this site in this quality (""Jaxon blues trilby"", and ""Detroit trilby), both with the more common smaller brim and upturned back

I bought this hat February, 2012. I have worn it all year as a dress hat. Even in 110-115 degree temperatures this hat is very comfortable. It has been crushed and crumpled many, many times by my grand kids and still returns to its good looking shape. I have received several positive comments about this hat. I like this hat a lot, bought it for prom, and because its just cool!, the materiel is softer, lighter, and more flexible then i thought, and there's a small bulge on one of the crown indents that won't come out. Thats very minor, the crushable factor is really cool though!!

I ordered this hat on-line in Grey. The price is right for the quality of the hat and it arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Unfortunately, it's more green than grey. I was expecting light grey to charcoal, but not green. Also, this hat is not durable. I spend much of the year in Oklahoma an wouldn't dare ware it out in the OK winds. Guess it'll work great for those lovely fall days here in CA as soon as I get some green shoes to wear with it.

The Customer service was amazing. They upgraded my inexpensive, single item order to make sure it was here for Xmas, even though I didn't need it by then.The hat itself: Not exactly the quality I was expecting, but pretty decent, overall. The 100% wool felt is really nice, and the blocking is dead on, but the assembly is lacking. The hat band is attached crookedly, and too high, allowing the sweatband stitching to show by 1/8"" in the front, and 1/16"" at the back and sides.Even so, I still give this hat a 4 out of 5, and I give Village Hat Shop a 7 out of 5.

I purcased this hat because of the look and the availability in XXL. I have a huge head and have a hard time finding hats that fit. This hat actually runs a bit large and was the first hat I've had that was too big. I was able to size it down and am very happy with my hat. First time I wore it out 4 people complimented me on it.

When I received the hat there were some apparent defects - dye did not appear to have been applied evenly. I notified Village Hat Shop on a Sunday, and I received the replacementhat in one and a half days on Tuesday. I am a bit of a fedora buff and own several different versions of them, but this Jaxon C Crown is my favorite. I like the the style, I like the gray color, I like the crown height, brim width, the whole shebang. It's also one of the only hats I've found that comes in a size small to fit my pin-head. Being unlined it isn't the fanciest or nicest hat. But for all-around looks and versatility it can't be beat in my book.

Excelent value and good fit. I'm a 6 7/8 and most ""small"" hats swim on me. Not this one. No need to stuff the sweat band with weather stripping. I bought it to throw on with my fleece to go food shopping etc. but I could easily wear this to the theatre with my camel hair. It's soft, a little floppy (it won't snap down but it will stay down) and I can position it all over my head. Today, because I ordered the black model (should have ordered other colors) I may pretend to be Orson Wells even though I'm only 5'7 and 160 pounds. VHS shipped my topper in a sturdy box with an insert and the hat arrived in perfect condition. They even surprised me with a feather. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I got the brown color, and it's a nice chocolate brown. I had to steam the brim a few times to get the ""snap"" look, but that was no big deal. I haven't tried to crush it... so I can't verify that part. I bought the XL, and I normally wear a 7 3/8"". It's tight enough to stay on, but it's not going to pinch and leave marks, like a smallish size. Nice, smooth, and just the right color.

Beautiful hat at a great price. The fit is right as well. Just wore this hat on a trip via commercial air carrier. The hat was stuffed behind my bag in the overhead bin and CRUSHED. When I took it down, I simply popped it back into shape and placed it on my head, and it looked exactly as it did when I took it out of the box.

I wanted a hat for the garden. My wife says I don't look good in a Fedora. I don't. But that has nothing to do with the hat. It's the head underneath that is lacking. This hat is so comfortable I have taken to wearing it in the house. The softness makes my balding head feel wonderful. It is crushable and while I may never be seen outside the backyard wearing it, if something ever happens to it I will reorder one immediately. The hat is not lined. It shows to be excellent construction and the only thing I did was scotchgaurd it. It is a working hat. Now I have my eye on a newsboy hat. My wife likes those. She says I look like the Lenox man. Just right! I was looking for a great, well-made ""handsome"" Fedora and this one fit the bill--and my head--perfectly (though I did want a silver-grey). I originally bought the Diamond shape and found that too much like a cowboy hat with side brim tilted in a stubborn upward direction. If that's what your looking for, it's also a fine hat. This works for me all around, comfortable, great quality, no sweaty plastic inside as with vintage hats (though styles can be great) ...and just right for a girl like me (which means its a non gender specific hat). Bought this hat a couple of years ago and wrote a nice review then. After two years I have to say this hat is better than my other three Fedoras. Its warm on the head in cold weather. It handles rain well and you can shake or beat any clinging water off in a couple of seconds. As for the crushable feature, I can't say enough. I'd stuffed it in my golf bag on a day I thought it might rain while I was out on the course, and it didn't. A month later I remembered where it was and took it out of the bag. It went back into shape as soon as I put it on. Can't say enough about this hat. I just with it came with a longer brim.

I ordered the PECAN color hat to match a new camal hair topcoat. The color of the hat does not match the picture on the web site. The color of the hat is really a mix of tan and pond-scum green. Beyond that, it is an fine bargain and looks good with other jackets so it wasn't a total loss.

I just recently became a hat-wearer and the first hat I picked up at a nearby Goodwill for a dollar. This was the second real hat that I've got, and it is fantastic. It is much more comfortable than my other hat, even without a lining, and it seems to be very good quality. I was looking for a crushable C-crown fedora to throw in my backpack for my commute to work. (I'm not going to do that with my good Akubra Sydney!) After trying a couple more expensive Scala models with snap brims that just didn't look right, I decided to try this one, and overall I'm pleased. The quality of felt isn't super-great, but it looks good from a few feet away, and I very much like the shape of the crown and ribbon. As others have mentioned, the weak part of this hat is the brim, which is hard to train down in front. (I think I finally have it now.) I also found the sizing inconsistent. I bought size medium in blue and brown, and while the blue one fit perfectly (I'm size 7 1/4), the brown was quite snug. On balance, though, for under $40 this is a very good looking and comfortable hat.

This hat is worth much more than the $36 for which I purchased it. This fedora still looks great after taking abuse (i.e. bending, folding, crushing, etc.). I will admit that it performs (if one can say that about inanimate apparel) much better after an application of a certain fabric protectant (the name of said protectant is derived from an alcoholic drink originating from the British Isles). Essentially, for the price, I cannot see how anyone who likes this particular style of fedora can go wrong with purchasing the Jaxson C-Crown Crushable Fedora.

I wanted a decent fedora for a long time. I really don't like the baseball hats everyone else wears nor do I care for the small brim fedora (Brittney Spears type) that are sold in discount stores.When I finally got this fedora, it looked great. It fits perfect and has a good solid color. I bought this fedora to go with my brown suede jacket (like Indiana Jones) or my brown corduroy blazer. Looks snappy.This hat is for rain, snow, and shine. I own a number of fedoras already (Stetson, Bailey, etc), but was looking for an inexpensive hat for slightly more casual wear, such as going to/from work, and that I wouldn't mind wearing in inclement weather or getting banged up. This fits the bill perfectly. A few comments:-My head is right between a 7 1/8 and a 7 1/4; I went with the Medium and it fits nicely snug--it won't blow off, but is not tight. -You will have to work a little to get the ""turned down"" look with the brim, but it can be done. Hint- storing it on a hat rest or upside down will help preserve the brim shape. -This hat is fairly soft, noticeably more so than the Jaxon Pinch Crown Crushable. -The pictures don't show it, but this hat is not lined (not that you would expect it on one for this price, but just in case anyone was wondering). All-in-all, this is a great hat value, much more than I expected for the price. It's several steps above your ""cheap department store fedora.""

This is by far one of the nicest hats I've ever owned. I purchased one in brown and it looks awesome. I wear a 7-1/2 and ordered an XL, and it's like it was custom made for my head. Very well made and soft too. My wife was a little leary about it when I ordered it, thinking I might look ""goofy"" in it. She quickly changed her mind when she saw it on my head, andloves the way it looks. You definetly won't go wrong with this one.

I got my hat and it fit perfectly. I opted for the black to go with my new winter coat, originally. But after a new haircut and a change in my style, I've been wearing it out this spring just to see reactions from friends and the public. Everyone loves the new look, but they always comment on the hat. They're amazed when I tell them how much I got it for. For a great classic look, you can't go wrong with this hat.

While it's still a great everyday hat for the price, I just saw a Biltmore made exclusively for Jaxon, the Biltmore Canadian Suede C-crown, and they called it ""Sage Green"", but it certainly looked grey like the original picture of this hat.Maybe they should advertise it as such.

My Dermatologist suggested at the start of Summer, that I start wearing a hat to protect my balding head from the harsh Florida sun!So now I'm wearing a hat, Summer and Winter, from the Summer sun all the way to Winter's cold, wearing either a straw hat or a felt hat.Being somewhat color coordinated, I'm already wearing a White straw hat (their Bailey Spencer Fedora) for Summer use (keeps the heat down), a straw hat in Black (their Bailey Clennam Fedora), a Grey felt hat (their Bailey Gangster Fedora) and I just ordered a Brown felt hat (their Jaxon C-Crown Crushable), both for Winter use.Being old and tired, it normally would take a lot to improve on my looks, but these hat's do just that, from admiring glances to favorable comments, plus these hat's look more appropriate for a man my age than a baseball cap.

I purchased the grey first. Yes, it is darker than the photo but it is a rich medium charcoal - very nice indeed. One review mentions a greenish tint. I've seen this as well but only under certain interior lighting conditions. Very satisfied so ordered the brown. The brim had a problem so called the shop. Pleasant, courteous, professional, and very helpful - from all I spoke with. Great service. The replacement hat was perfect.

Their true wool & I like wearing the front brim turned down which it stays turned down no problem. I wear all 3 with casual wear outfits that matches each color of hat I have. Luckily, the fact that they seriously lightened up the picture of the grey (should read ""Dark Grey"") hat just means it's more subdued and could be more versatile, which I appreciate, given that it's my first traditional fedora. I bought a straw (actually, polyester fiber blend) for the first time when I was at the Shoreline Village location in June - the Bailey Mannes. I swear, Village Hat Shop is the only place I've been to that has a selection that will cater to the long oval as well as the regular oval head. This hat fits perfectly, same snug fit all the way around. The XL is exactly the XL I was looking for, not too big. Perfect fit in that it's not tight enough to leave an impression, but tight enough not to blow off my head wearing it outdoors.The teardrop crown also works perfectly with my tall head. As does the diamond crown. Jaxon Diamond Crown Crushable, here I come! (The black one is actually quite similar to the one worn by Hayden Christensen (Anakin Skywalker, young Darth Vader) in the movie ""Takers"".

I have this in gray because it is a nuetral color. I travel for business and needed a hat that could be stuffed into overhead compartments, and looks good with whatever I'm wearing. I find that these run a little small, and the brim does not stay as sharp as other crushables that I have. Therefore, this has become more of a casual hat for me. Looks great with jeans and a sport coat, but lags a little if I'm wearing a suit and tie. For a dressier option, try the pinch front crushable.

As unlined crushable hats go, this one is nice - the material has a good solid quality to it; it doesn't have the super-cheap feel of many crushable hats you find, and for $34, its a good deal on a decent hat for everyday wear.Some notes about the hat itself:The brim is fairly flat, so if you like that classic fedora turned down look, you'll have to work with it for a while. The crushability works against you here, but with some work, you can get brim to turn down a little in the front. Also, at 2 1/4, the brim feels a bit wide, so if you prefer a hat with a more moderate brim, this might not be the one for you. To me, excessively wide or narrow brims tend to look a little cartoony; this one is within acceptable range, but it's at the top limit of acceptable brim width.The crown's lines aren't as crisp as what you get in a more expensive lined hat, but they look great, hold their shape well, and seem to be able to withstand some mistreatment - definitely a plus, especially if you plan to wear this hat to shows, parties, and other events where it might be subjected to some less-than-hat-friendly conditions.I bought a black hat my first time around, but I plan to get this hat in grey as well. The black on this hat is really black, not merely dark grey.The sizes run a little large - I'm usually wear a 7 1/4 and bought a large, and had to send it back for a medium. In closing, this is a solid day-to-day wear hat. It is not super sophisticated, but for $34, it is yards better than the ""fedoras"" you find for similar prices at big-box and mall stores. I bought one, and plan to buy another in another color.

I quite like this hat so far. I've had it for about a half-month, and it has proved quite respectable. I had ordered the wrong size at first -- silly me thinking that an XL would be big enough for my absurd Polish head! -- but the Village Hat Shop was quick in replacing my order. It's given satisfaction since!I looked a little askance at my acquisition for the first few days, as the brim was turned up all 'round (kind of like a Homburg), but after about a week of regular kneading and crushing, the brim started breaking in well.All things summed up, this is a quite nice hat. Inexpensive (which compels me to start thinking about purchasing a more-expensive fur felt model) yet fun to wear; it keeps the sun off my head and gives everybody I meet pause -- makes me seem taller and gives me an atmosphere of dressy '40's classicism (which is extremely useful). The only downsides now that I see is that I have only 1 (and have to let it rest every other day), and that I feel underdressed if I wear it sans long-sleeved Oxford and sport coat!

actually, I give these ZERO STARS...These hats came to me so misshapen and with such shallow head depth that no one could wear them. When I contacted the company about my displeasure, they were very unwilling to accommodate me or to listen to my problems with their hats. I DO NOT recommend the hats from this company to anyone seriously interested in passing out aquality product. These hats are VERY POOR QUALITY!

I was looking for a Fedora hat that looked like the hats of the 40s and 50s (the type that Clark Kent, Humphrey Bogart wore) without paying an exorbitant price. And, I found it!... I found it on the Village Hat Shop website under the name of Jaxon C-Crown Crushable Fedora. Ive had it now for two weeks and am quite content with it. I plan on ordering another one in Brown. The one I have now is gray...Ps: These hats are advertised as having a 2 1/2 brim but the one I received was 2 1/4 brim. As far as I am concerned, the 2 1/4 brim worked perfectly fine for me :o)

Fits a lot nicer than the old ""crown and brim"" type that are two different pieces. Heads that require a certain size may be shaped differently, so that the fact that it's a more flexible hat is quite helpful. This hat rolls with the punches and travels well.

I like this hat. It is in dark blue. I did have to send back the first one I received - too big. But, the VHS kindly sent out the perfect size after I returned the original. I'd say the only minus is the lack of lining - I am looking in to how to have one put in.

I have 22 brimmed hats, of which 5 are fedoras. This is a very nice hat, especially for the price. I'm a 7-1/2, and the XL is a very good fit. I have received many compliments. The only minor disappointment is that the Gray is darker than the photo on the Web site. I was hoping for something lighter, compared to my black fedora. So, the 4 stars has nothing to do with the hat, but with the Web site.

I ordered the Navy Blue version. The sizes do tend to run a bit large, but this is easily corrected by adding thin cloth strips tucked into the sweatband. The hat is veeery stylish, lightweight and comfortable to wear (I forget I have it on after several hours!), and water-resistant enough to be an excellent rain cover. It really dresses up a suit and I never fail to get at least one compliment (and several glances) whenever I wear it. A great product!

I wasn't expecting this good of a hat for 34 bucks. Its softer and more comfortable than the $145 dollar rabbit felt I have. I got it in dark brown but I may get one in gray and another in pecan. At this price its a steal. As it doesn't come with a liner I'm going to put my own in as well as a couple of small feathers in the band. This is a nice hat.

I like the material, the C-Crown look, color, price and the way it feels on my head. This could have been perfect but.........I would also like to warn you that the hat will not retain its shape. Specially the brim. It's a soft hat, crushable, but easily de-foremed after crushing it once (even when done correctly).Mine got deformed fairly quickly. Now it looks like an Irish sheepherder's hat. The band also keeps moving out of place. It is not fastened in a lot of places.It didn't cost much so I use it now as a rain hat. I leave my really nice hats at home when it rains. I do admit that it was foolish of me to think that a Fedora can be considered ""crushable"" and still look like a classic Fedora.If you are looking for a Fedora, spend a bit more money and get one that's not crushable, and will keep the brim and form.

I just opened my Christmas eve gift that my dad purchased for me! I really love it!It feels great. Looks great! I think this particular hat and it's pecan color will complement my brown clothes.

When I think of pairing a fedora with a suit, I think of fine fur felt, but this wool crushable is nice enough to wear with a suit. The shape, construction of the hat and quality of the wool are very good. It's a dressy crushable. The C-crown and profile look great, the generous brim gives the hat plenty of attitude, and the price is great. It's every bit the equal of a more expensive Bailey crushable.

To not give this hat five stars would be a crime, because for $34.00, you can't beat it. There are nicer, more expensive hats on the market, but if you are on a budget, I HIGHLY recommend the Jaxon C-crown. It's durable, classy looking and all around perfect. It keeps it's shape really well, too. It's hard not to feel cool when wearing one of these. Kind of like Humphrey Bogart. I'd also like to thank Villagehatshop! I got my shipment quickly and easily. Next time I need a hat I know where to come. I'm very impressed and will be sure to tell all of my friends about your great service. : )

The Jaxon C-Crown is one amazing hat. I don't know how they get away with letting it go this cheap, considering all my other hats of this same quality (or even a little worse) cost almost twice as much. This was the hat that made me a Fedora man. I had bought one in black to wear for a Blues Brothers costume, but I just liked it so much, I wore it all the time sans the glasses and suit. I then decided I wanted more options. I wanted it in another color as well, so I got brown. Keep in mind, the brown in the picture doesn't appear to have a black trim/bow, but when I received it, that's what I got. I love it, mind you. The black band on chocolate brown looks great, but it isn't what's pictured, in case you wanted something different. Overall, a fantastic hat. I wouldn't mind picking up the other colors in the future as well. Also, a tip for those who had trouble shaping their brim: soak it in water, shape it, then let it dry. I do this to almost every hat I own to give it the exact shape I want.

For the money, this hat can't be beat. I'm bald and live in New England, so having a warm hat in the winter is essential. This fedora looks great, adds a touch of class, and keeps my head warm and dry.

Thank you very much. It is a fine hat. It keeps off the sun, keeps my head warm, channells rain water out past the back of my neck and looks good, too. I like it and so do other people.Even better, it helps my one guy campaign against baseball caps. Adults wear hats, damn it!! Baseball caps are for kids. If you are over 13, get a real hat.

I used to be a Stetson person and I am no longer. Money aside, this hat is top notch. Having a big head, it's so nice to finally have a hat that fits perfectly. I will be sticking to Jaxon's for now on. I've worn this in the nice rain that MD offers and it hasn't failed me once. Hands down, my favorite hat I've ever owned.

This is a well-constructed hat of quality material. There's no lining or feather and it has a fabric sweatband but it holds its shape perfectly and looks great. It's the most hat you'll find at this price.

I bought a grey Jaxon C-Crown Fedora. I wear it with the front tilted down and people, from young women in The XS Night Club in Las Vegas to business men traveling on the same airplane, have complimented my hat. The moment you put it on you will feel and portray a sophisticated, intelligent, mature and an adventurous essence simultaneously. I wear it everywhere, at the office, out on the field with customers and during my leisure time. I have been told I resemble characters in movies like Dick Tracy, The Spirit, and even Indiana Jones. The hat is very comfortable to wear outdoors and/or indoors. I definitely recommend this buy.

I'm pleased with how it looks - now that I've wrestled the front brim into a downward direction. It does not want to go that direction and is still unhappy; screams when I get out the steam iron. Without regard to the emotional unstability of this hat's brim, it looks nice enough that I will soon order a more expensive cousin that's cut from better cloth.

The Jaxon C-Crown Crushable Fedora is a great hat for the price. I've had this for a few months now, and it's holding up quite well. If you're looking to get into fedora wearing, this might not be a bad start. Even though this hat isn't fur felt, the type looks much nice than those cloth or cotton ones you see teenagers and young adult people wearing most of the time.

I decided to buy this hat because I enjoy the Fedora style and I was not disappointed with my purchase at all. I followed the website's hat sizing procedure and then placed an order for the hat based on that and the Fedora fits perfectly. The wool fabric is sleek, comfortable, and warm. The hat also has a softer band of fabric that is stitched around the inside part of the hat that touches your brow and the sides of your head which makes it all the more comfortable. The ribbon hat band is very clean looking and well-placed, it delivers the finishing touch to an affordable yet stylish Fedora hat.

I've wore the hat both for casual and dress wear. I've received several compliments on the quality and look of the hat. My original intent was to get it because it is a very close replica of the hat Michael Jackson wore in his performances but I also love to wear hats. Great quality and great price! Local hat store sells the same hat for a starting price of $150!

This hat was delivered right on time for a wedding. Right when I walked into the lobby, everyone turned and looked. I received many compliments, most from people I did not know. This hat turns heads. It fits perfectly, it's durable, it's well constructed, and it looks great. Some of the best $40 you will ever spend; it does not disappoint!

It is a nice looking hat and the quality is really better than the price would suggest. I am pleased with the look. You can spend more for a better quality hat, but I don't believe you could spend less and and get a hat as fine as this.
