Outback Hats

Named after the rugged and demanding terrain of the Australian Outback, Outback Hats were built for function under harsh conditions (similar to American Western & Cowboy Hats). However, unlike their American counterparts, Outback Hats are more minimalist in their designs, often featuring a 3.5-4 inch teardrop (or square crown with slightly pointed front) and either a flat or gently flared brim, usually only about 3-3.5 inches wide. Outback Hats are usually trimmed with leather hat bands (although other materials are also widespread) and may be fitted with an adjustable chin cord/strap for added functionality.
