Made for the Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame, the Cattleman Fur Felt Australian Western Hat by Akubra was chosen for its embodiment of the hat worn by Australian cattlemen. Along with a UPF 50+ sun protection rating, this hat provides protection for the nose, ear, and back of neck thanks to the curved brim. The teardrop crown sports metal eyelets for ventilation. Lastly, a layered hat band with brass fittings wraps around the body of the Cattleman.

The Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame, is located in Longreach, Queensland, established in 1988. The Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame & Outback heritage center is a museum that pays homage to the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and acknowledge their continuing connection to land, waters and culture.

Great hat- not shipped in hat box

The Akubra arrived in good condition. Surprisingly, Village Hat did NOT put the hat in any kind of hat box, so I was relieved the hat arrived ok. The Cattleman is a classic so I am happy to have it. Moderate brim. Work hat, so I removed the lining.

I absolutely love this hat! The first size I ordered was a bit too large

I absolutely love this hat! The first size I ordered was a bit too large, so I returned it and requested one size smaller. It was a tight shipping schedule (due to my error) and wrote a small note asking if possible to ship the smaller hat to me before my trip I had planned and the shop did an amazing job getting another to me quickly. Thank you!
