Italian Straw Skimmer Hat

Look, this hat is amazing. Every time I wear it I receive compliments on it. If you're a confident man, who has a sense of style, then this is the perfect hat for you. You can dress the hat up or down depending on how you feel.

The best part about the hat is the outstanding quality. The straw is firm and the hat has a nice sturdy weight to it. I have a large head, so I was pleased that it was available in a size 8 however, it does run slightly large. I would buy this hat again.

The hat fit perfectly and looked really good. I wore it to my niece's commencement at Yale University along with saddle shoes, blue blazer, blue shirt with rep bowtie and white linen pants. I got dozens of compliments on my outfit and especially on my straw boater. Everyone wanted to have their picture taken with me at the commencement, School of Nursing commencement and the reception. Good quality.

when you compare a hat like this against a $40 Jaxon (luckily the Long Beach store had both in stock), you quickly see that there's just no substitute for genuine quality and craftsmanship—in design, materials and construction. Hard to spend this much $ on a straw hat, but once I had it in my hands & placed it on my head, all reservations quickly fell by the wayside.

I love this hat. I initially tried to save some money and purchased the Jaxon Skimmer instead but it wouldn't fit properly. The shape of my head contorted the brim. As I learned more about skimmers, I learned they should be very stiff (quite unlike the Jaxon version). This hat is much more expensive than the Jaxon brand but it is worth the difference. It is nice and stiff and very high quality. I hear compliments constantly when I wear it. It is very classy and identical to what men wore everywhere about a hundred years ago. Today it still communicates class. Looks great with a suit or just a polo.

Great quality hat and a great fit. I bought it for the summer car show season. Now we just need some warmer weather! Great price too since I got it on sale. Cheaper than the vendor in my own town.
