The British Bobby from Elope is great rendition of the headgear worn by the London Metropolitan Police Force, also known as "bobbies."Accented faithfully with both "Metropolitan Police" and "EIIR" (HRH Elizabeth II) in the royal crest, this lighweight helment also features ventilation eyelets on each side for a comfortable wear.

I bought this hat for use in a professional stage play. It is made of what seems like flexible plastic, flocked for a velvety finish on the outside. It looks good and is very lightweight, with a comfortable, hook-and-loop adjustable band inside. As a bonus, the light weight makes it less appealing for actors to throw it around as they so often do with hats. No complaints!
If ever in England, do not wear this on the street, it is an arrestable offense for impersonating a Police officer. I have a real one from the miners strike in the 80s and this one looks good so if you want something authentic looking get this. But remember, the badge says E II R so if (like the above) you wish to do a Jack the Ripper Party, you'll need a VR (seeing as victoria was Queen at the time) Otherwise good.
