I stuck my red tailed hawk feather in this hat and can't really walk one block down the street without someone yelling from across the street or out of their car even, "NICE HAT!" etc. I got the XL because my husband and I like to exchange hats sometimes, and also because I have thick locs, but if it were just for me I would order a size down. Also get a real lint brush, not a tape roller, to keep it clean.
