There are complaints that these hats are very stiff and they are, which makes them susceptible to wind gusts. They do seem to be very water resistant which is beneficial if you get caught in the rain or need to clean the hat. I wear these to car shows where the weather can change quickly. Great resistance to UV and fairly durable. The headband is sweat resistant but will eventually succumb to sweat. I inserted a very thin strip of shipping foam between the hat and headband which slows the absorption of sweat into the straw. The stiff brim is susceptible to wind gusts so you'll need a snug fit if you plan to wear this hat in a convertible.

Great fit with Large for 7-3/8. Aerated crown results in great ventilation on hot days. Wider brim keeps the sun off.
