Ideal for hiking, fishing, travel and more, the Joe is proudly made in the USA of San Francisco Hat Co's proprietary hand-spiraled polypropylene TechStraw braid material.


Unlike standard straw hats, the Joe TechStraw Fedora Hat retains its shape and remains light when wet. A stylish grosgrain ribbon hat band adjusts at the side for a perfect fit while an incredibly comfortable CoolMax elastic sweatband wicks away sweat. How to Properly Fold Your Joe TechStraw Fedora Hat:

  1. Fold crown along the center.
  2. Fold the brim's sides up toward the crown to make a "taco," see photo included in hat images.
  3. Steam can help you return your hat to its original shape. (Tip: Place hat in the bathroom while you shower for easy steaming; smooth back to shape with your fingers.)


Please Note:

  • Just like folding a shirt or any other article of clothing creates creases, so will folding your hat. Steaming can help smooth the creases out, but will not fully remove the creases.
  • Repeatedly folding your Joe TechStraw Fedora will shorten the lifespan of your hat.

Wonderful hat - 3rd one to be purchased.

Got my husband one of these about 13 years ago and it finally gave out after many international travels. Ordered a new one for him this year. And this order was for a gift for my son in law because he loves the hat too. Great durable travel hat.

Great hat for Sun Protection

I’ve bought this hat every year and continually wear them 365/days per year in Florida for pool time, fishing, and outside walks. They hold up extremely well under all conditions. I love them. I hope it is never discontinued.

Best hat ever!

This hat is awesome! A friend has one and I have admired it for years so I asked where did he get it. It is very well made and light to wear, crushable that returns to shape and true size. I live in a hot clime so this hat is perfect.
