The strength if the box is unacceptable when the box is ripped or reached its maximum pressure point til it busted and nothing to protect the hat from any and all substances that can damage the item purchased.

Bought this hat 4-5 years ago in the Palo Duro Canyon gift shop. It is the all around sun hat. Been fishing and touring around the world.

I do a bunch of landscaping and this is the best hat I've found. I bought a size up then what I needed. L-XL

Generally I wear my hair up in a buff when I'm working outside and need extra room. The hat is a little big when I wear with my summer dresses and my hair down. My last hat was too snug in the hot summer though. I like to be comfortable, wear loose clothes in the hot sun.

I get so many compliments on the hat. The 4" brim keeps me cool and shaded.

I bought this hat in the natural color, size large. It fits perfectly and I wear it out walking, sailing, and to our grandson's little baseball games. I would rate my hat 5 stars. I get a lot of comments and compliments but I'm giving this review two stars because I decided to order the same hat in the same size but the darker color for an upcoming trip we have planned to South Africa in late Nov. It arrived in a very large, clumsy and flimsy box and wasn't even close to the same size as my first hat. This one was huge. I was very dissapointed and knew i would need to send it back. The company requested the hat be sent back in the same box it was shipped in. When I went to price it out, and the cost to send it back to San Diego (we live in San Francisco) was more than I paid for the hat itself. Luckily my husband was able to find a more appropriately sized box from work that he brought home so I could ship the hat back. The cost of the return is the responsibility of the buyer and they required insurance as well. I paid $18.00 to "try on" a hat that didn't fit. Now I'm afraid to buy another one from this company. It's to bad because I really liked the hat but the difference in the size, even though they were both large size hat is just to risky. It's good quality though, and should last a long time.
