Its distinctive look includes a tall 4+ inch crown and boldly curled brim and a sleek leather hat band twisted around the crown twice and tied at the back with tails extending over the brim. I chose this model because it’s not a traditional western and not a fedora either. Something in between and unusual. The model name comes from its inspiration: The Outlaw Josey Wales. I purchased my normal hat size and it was right on. The quality of the straw is excellent: thick, sturdy, and moldable like clay when damp. Its handles rain beautifully. I’m very satisfied.
This is a well made good looking hat that is both practical and comfortable to wear
I wear straw hats in the summer to protect my face from the sun. It serves that purpose very well and I just like the look of the hat on me.
