Bought this hat to wear while clearing snow. Does a great job. Handles cold and wind well. Wish I'd sized down 1/8.
Hat is well insulated and the bill helps keep the snow out of your face and works very nice if you wear a hooded jacket for the extreme situations. Flaps are effective, as most hat with flaps lack any insulation. Thank goodness for the village hat size recommendations as they do fit small, even a size up, but they are well made and break in nicely after several wears.
What i like best is getting asked “WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR STORMY KROMER”. It fits well, is warm, especially with the band folded down over the ears when the weather is nasty.
