I just received the hat and absolutely love it. It arrived in perfect condition and I love the shape as is. The quality was better than I expected. I have to wear a hat because I have a skin condition that causes me to burn in short order but I am an outdoor person. I have a hat I wear at home but wanted a nicer looking hat for when I go somewhere. This one absolutely fits the bill. I ordered a size up as recommended but the hat is too big, I just wear a sweat band to make it fit.
This hat is well-made. The straw is very sturdy and of excellent quality. Provides plenty of face shade while I’m working outdoors or just sitting in the sun having a few drinks! I’m not really a “hat guy†but I like this one very much.
This is no costume party hat. I could tell as soon as I lifted it out of the sturdy shipping box that I had made the right choice. The weight and weave told me so. You may want to replace the elastic fabric hatband with a finer one that it deserves, but that’s minor considering the overall quality. Still, I would have been proud to wear it as it was, right out of the box.
