This is probably my 8th - 9th Stetson hat from Village Hat Shop. HOWEVER, as for STETSON and the price ($255), I was expecting just a bit more quality as with all my Temples and Chatham I own. This one doesn't come close to them. The grosgrain is not stitched but tied on with clear nylon string and is highly visible which cheapens the look of the hat like something you would expect from Walmart or Amazon. I had to do some trimming of extra long nylon ends and loose threads along the grosgrain. I guess, like all things made today, we should not expect quality anymore even at $255. Disappointing to see from Stetson Fur Felt. Low quality and high price. Well this is my last. Is it even really fur????

I just became aware that the sturdier hats are fur or fur felt. They keep their shape better than a wool packable hat. My Stetson choice was awesome in fit, style, and finished product.
