Was a little hesitant to purchase this 6-panel leather beanie skull cap, but decided to take the 'plunge'. Glad I did. The leather seems of very high-quality, rugged, yet fairly supple. Sits just a little tall on my neanderthal-shaped head and hits the top of my ears and would have preferred a narrower brim (it's ~1.75" wide at bottom of beanie), but no big deal. My head size (according to the sizing chart) was right on the borderline between Large and Xtra Large. Decided on Large and glad I did....fits nice and snug but not too tight; and, because it's 100% leather, will likely "expand" a little over time. To top it off, it's made in the USA...which is important to me and am willing to pay more because of this fact. Was shipped quickly and was 'free'.

Just the "thug" look I was looking for

And the bonus is not just the iconic look. This is an immaculately crafted piece of leather headwear. I expect it will have long since been lost or stolen before its appeal fades. Plus its good at keeping your head warm.

I initially ordered the wrong size and was dreading the return process. Luckily the customer service was excellent. Within minutes of calling she had the replacement processed. The hat itself is very well made and surprisingly comfortable. Instantly my new favorite hat.
