Like every Stetson I've owned, this one has a very sturdy brim - no wavy or curvy sections that look weird, nothing needed to be steamed into shape. The crown is made from a thick cotton material that holds its shape and bounces back if deformed.
Why only three stars? Firstly, the fit is not great - the area at the sweatband is too large and doesn't anchor the hat to my head. At the same time, the upper part of the brim is too tight. I added some spacers under the sweatband which helped, but still doesn't fit well. The other thing is that the hat doesn't really nail the Safari style. Not sure what is going on, the crown is the right shape but somehow the hat just looks very blocky. Compared to the Stetson Traveller which is a very similar style, but looks really good IMO. Makes a good hat for gardening and other chores around the house. Definitely does not have the fit or the style I would expect from the Stetson brand, but maybe that's because of the low cost?
