The Large is a perfect fit, on my crewcut head. I am, exactly, a 59mm or 23-and-1/4-inches hat size. (crewcut) The Large fit is snug, but not tight, due to a flexible nylon hat band. The hat is top of the line and quality detailed, with a 101mm/4-inches, front crown and a 6mm/4-and 3/8-inches, front brim. The Kelp color is beautiful and neutral enough to go with most color combinations. I love it so much that I bought a 2nd one in a lighter color. Same review on the 2nd one. If you are not head shaven or have don't have a crewcut, and have a head of hair, this Large might be a little tight. The higher price is worth this kind of superior, handmade quality. Definitely, the nicest 2 hats I have in my collection of 30 or more.
