This cap is NOT UPF protected (UV protection). It came up in a search request for Made in USA UPF, but while it is Made in USA, it's not UPF. Still, it's a sturdy, well-made, comfortable hat, and a very good price given it's US-made. Suggestion: make a Made in USA cap that also has UPF. Many folks would buy it.

Very good quality. Sturdy. I wanted a baseball-type cap that had UPF protection to protect from UV rays, and preferably one made in the US, or from another country known to have good safety and quality records.
