With this hat, you definitely get what you pay for because the hat is very high quality. The Village Hat Shop had the lowest price and with their discount offers, the price is not so shocking. Despite the cost, I purchased to know if a Wigens cap is worth it or not and to know how they fit. Despite the quality, I don't feel the 3 figure cost is worth it since there are other very high quality hats for half the price. The hat fits very well and true to size. I measured my head at 56.5 cm and I ordered a size 57. I do this because if the hat is slightly too large, its easy to shrink using very hot water and a blow dryer. I did not need to shrink this hat; great fit out of the package. Since this is a 10 inch plus diameter hat, it will have a lot of "flop" when worn similar to movie newsboy hats that show the newsboy hat time period. The shipping experience was sub par due to the "ups mail innovation" shipping service used. The hat sat at my local past office for 5 days due to the low priority of the shipping service. Overall took about 10 business days to get my hat. The hat was shipped in a plastic envelope instead of a box. Paper was placed inside the hat to give some support and it did arrive in pretty good, non crushed condition. I had to apply some steam to remove a couple of minor creases from shipping. Other than the minor creases, the hat has excellent shape when worn.
